The Mvula Trust has appointed Mr. Rufus Peacock as its Technical Services Manager with effect from 01 July 2018. Rufus is a highly experienced engineer specialising in project management, civil engineering, engineering design among other range of expertise.
He brings a wealth of experience in managing massive projects. In his previous stint, he worked on critical programmes such as Masamane Water Supply Project as well as Integrated Sustainable Rural Development Strategy (Kgalagadi Cross Boundary District Municipality) – and other projects of huge value, especially rural water supply projects.
In his previous employ, Mr. Peacock held key positions such as Chief Operations Officer, Branch Manager as well as Senior Technician position. Prior to joining The Mvula Trust, Mr. Peacock was a Chief Operations Officer at Phumelela Africa Professional Engineers (also known as Phumaf).
“I am excited to join an organisation of The Mvula Trust magnitude and a champion of development in previously disadvantaged communities. I have gained extensive experience in my previous engagements and will use those expertise to advance the course of this organisation”, said Peacock.
Mr. Peacock is a member of the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) and Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
The Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Silas Mbedzi, wished Rufus all the best on his appointment and vital role he assumes in the organisation.
