PSPs briefed on ASIDI IV delivery plan

The Mvula Trust convened a session on the 10 May 2017 at Golden Pillow hotel in Polokwane to brief Professional Service Providers (PSPs) about the Delivery Plan for Accelerated School Infrastructure Delivery Initiative (ASIDI) batch IV.The aim of the engagement was to make sure that role players in the projects are equal to the task and fully aware of the The Mvula Trust expectations before the implementation gets underway. According to The Mvula Trust’s Project Charter, there are 384, 282 and 19 water and sanitation projects that needs to be implemented in the Eastern Cape, Limpopo and North West respectively over 9 (nine) months period.This engagement was therefore necessary to make sure that all role players in the projects understand the nitty-gritties of the project plan. “It is important that we bring everyone on board to avoid delays in the implementation of this project. We want to ensure that our deliverables are realised as planned,” said Trevor Rajnarain from The Mvula Trust Project Management Office.The schools will be grouped in a cluster of 1 – 7 schools and the criteria will is informed by proximity, accessibility and budget. Each PSP will be allocated a minimum of 10 (ten) schools and contractors to a maximum of 7 (seven) schools. Once appointed, PSPs are expected to carry out assessment in all schools where projects will be implemented.
