COO addresses delegates at CESA annual presidential visit event

The Mvula Trust’s Chief Operations Officer Ms Julia Mmushi addressed a horde of delegates who attended Consulting Engineers South Africa (CESA) Presidential Annual Visit event on the 29 June 2017. The occasion was hosted by Limpopo branch of CESA at the Pietersburg Club in Polokwane.The event was held under the theme: “Intervention to drive Constructive and Sustainable Transformation”.Addressing attendees, Ms Mmushi indicated that interventions to drive real and sustainable transformation in the consulting engineering sector is everyone’s business and she further highlighted that all key stakeholders in both private and public sector must play their role.

Education: work with engineering firms to bring appropriate and sustainable solutions through infrastructure projects.

Job Creation: work together to develop engineering skills and potential in South Africa (Developing appropriate critical models for youth empowerment).

Eradication of Corruption: develop mechanisms to deal with corruption in the engineering sector and ensure that relationships are guided by ethical approach to business operations.Concluding her address, she affirmed to CESA that The Mvula Trust admires the training programmes they have developed to equip consulting engineers with different skills.

“The Mvula Trust uses and needs capacity developed within the engineering sector. As a result, we are willing to participate in the training programmes that CESA is offering,” said Julia.
