Ceo hires a graduate at the graduation ceremony

It was a dream – come – true moment for a newly graduated Nomvula Angel Magagula when Mr. Silas Mbedzi, Chief Executive Officer of The Mvula Trust, offered her a job during her graduation ceremony. This glorious moment took place during the Autumn Graduation Ceremony held at Onkgopotse Tiro Hall, University of Limpopo on the 11 April 2017.Magagula completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Community Water Services and Sanitation with inspiring performance. According to Silas Mbedzi, graduates such as Nomvula deserve an opportunity to be exposed to the work environment.“As an organisation that operates in the water and sanitation sector, I felt it would be more appropriate to give this newly graduated student exposure to understand the relationship between theory and practice. She performed well and it would be ideal for us as an organisation to complement that with work experience she will need throughout her career,” said Mbedzi.Since the beginning of the year, The Mvula Trust has already put approximately 10 (ten) graduates on its internship programme and it plans to increase its intake in the following years.
